Learn more about Stringing Bedes: A Poetry and Print Pilgrimage. This evening celebrates the landscapes and life of the Venerable Bede and the series of walks during summer 2015 that was organised as part of Stringing Bedes, along the route of Bede’s Way. The evening comprises:
illustrated presentations about Bede, art, heritage and wildlife,
readings of poetry inspired by Bede’s landscape
displays and refreshments.
The project is co-ordinated by the University of Sunderland’s WALK research group assisted by Bede’s World, South Tyneside Council and the Sunderland Cultural Partnership. It is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
